About Leanne

Leanne

I have been doing therapy for over 25 years as a licensed marriage and family therapist in California.  As the mental health crisis continues, it is harder and harder for clients to find good therapists.

Being a therapist isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am.  I have always loved interacting with others and learning their personal story. While many people shy away from accepting differences in people or run from the struggles others face, I have always embraced them without judgment.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been very passionate about helping those who are struggling in relationships.”     Leanne

We all have relationship issues at one time or another. I love to share my insight and experience (both personal and professional) to help anyone develop more meaningful and loving relationships.

Many people tell me there is no way they could ‘hear all those problems.’ But I believe there is no depth in life without getting to truly know other people. I am naturally therapeutic and insightful, and I love doing what I do.

Experience

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for many years in corporate America. Although I was well compensated, I wasn’t passionate about the work I did.  I was traveling 80% of the time and actually losing my hair due to stress.

Finally realizing, with the help of a good therapist, that my passion lay in helping others at a more personal level has been a gift to me. Since changing careers, I have helped hundreds of people with their relationship struggles.

I began doing therapy in 1995 while working towards my Master’s Degree. I started my private practice in Huntington Beach in 2000 after getting my Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University, completing an internship and becoming licensed by the State of California. In addition to working in private practice, I worked with the county for several years helping families struggling with domestic violence and child abuse.

Over the years, I’ve been invited to speak to multiple women’s organizations  I have been married to my husband, Tom, for over twenty years. We are raising our 20 year old son and our 18 year old daughter. Our lives are filled with our rewarding careers and watching our kids transition into college.

“Through my personal and professional experience, I’ve developed a true passion for helping people develop the fulfilling relationship they desire.”   Leanne
